Why UGC-style ads work, and where they go wrong

A person holding the product and talking to a phone reads as a recommendation rather than a commercial, so it survives the scroll. That is also the trap: most “AI UGC” tools make a pretend customer read a pretend review, which ad platforms reject and consumer-protection rules prohibit.

The ad maker keeps the look and drops the pretence. The presenter is a fictional character, cast from 12 WowMade presenters, standing in a home-style setting with your product in hand. They talk about the product the way a brand spokesperson would — what it is, what it does, why now — using only facts from your product page.

The cast

Every presenter is a fictional AI character generated by WowMade and screened against public figures. Tap any to start a presenter ad.

What UGC-style means here — and what it never means

What you getWhat the ad maker won't make

ClaimsOnly what your product page statesInvented results, ratings, reviews, discounts

The rules are built into the script writer and checked again on every line you edit, so the ad you post is one you can run. You confirm you sell the product or have the brand’s permission before the first frame is made.

Inside one 8-second presenter ad

From product link to presenter ads

1

Paste the link

The page is read for the name, price, photos and what the product does, and 4 spokesperson scripts are written, each opening on a different hook.

2

Cast and set the scene

Pick a presenter for each version and one of 6 settings — living room, kitchen, bathroom, studio, outdoors, gym.

3

Approve the frames

Each opening frame shows the presenter holding your product, for 2 credits. Redo any frame until the packaging is right.

4

Render and post

Each approved frame becomes an 8-second take with speech, the hook over the opening and the end card over the close.

Getting a presenter ad that converts

Match the presenter to the product. The cast is dressed for work — a beauty editor, a fitness trainer, a chef, a tech explainer — so the obvious pairing usually reads best. Keep the setting plausible. A serum belongs in a bathroom, a pan in a kitchen; the scene does half the persuading. Test hooks, not faces. Run the four versions against each other with the same presenter first, then swap presenters on the winner.

Need a longer spokesperson video, or your own face presenting? The talking avatar generator takes up to about 80 seconds of script and works with your own photo after a consent step. For the product alone in a styled scene with a voiceover, see the video ad generator.

Pricing, labelling and your responsibilities

A finished presenter ad is 9 credits at 720p — 2 for the frame and 7 for the video — or 12 at 1080p. Every ad is AI-generated and says so: a line on the end card and a signed C2PA provenance mark in the file, readable by anyone on the verification page. Use the ad platform’s AI disclosure as well. The Content & Safety Policy sets out what may not be made. Plans renew monthly until cancelled and can be cancelled online at any time; the full terms are on pricing details.

Frequently asked questions

What is a UGC-style ad?

An ad shot to look like a creator's own phone video: one person, a real room, the product in hand, talking straight to the camera. It feels native in a feed, which is why brands use it. On WowMade the look is generated — a fictional AI presenter, a home-style setting and your real product — from your product page link.

Are these real customers or real reviews?

No, and the page and the ad both say so. Every presenter is a fictional character generated by WowMade, and each one speaks as a spokesperson for the product, never as someone who bought it. The scripts never claim personal use, results, star ratings, sales counts or reviews, because a made-up testimonial is misleading advertising whether a person or a model says it.

Can I upload my own face or a creator's photo?

No. The ad maker only uses its own cast of 12 fictional presenters, so nobody real can be put into an ad without knowing. If you want to present your product yourself, the talking avatar generator animates your own photo with a consent step and a visible AI label.

What does the presenter actually say?

A script of up to 22 words written from your product page — what it is, the problem it solves or its main benefit, and an ask — in one of 6 languages. You can rewrite every line before anything is made; edited lines are checked again for invented claims before the video renders.

How do I get the product to look right in the presenter's hand?

You approve the first frame before paying for video. The frame costs 2 credits and shows the presenter holding your product in the setting you picked; if the label, colour or shape is off, redo just that frame or choose different product photos. A clean photo of the product on a plain background gives the most faithful packaging.

How much does a UGC-style ad cost?

9 credits per finished 8-second ad at 720p (2 for the frame, 7 for the video) or 12 at 1080p. Script writing is included and failed videos are refunded automatically. Plans renew monthly until cancelled and can be cancelled online at any time.

Do I need to disclose that the ad is AI-generated?

Most ad platforms ask advertisers to disclose realistic AI-generated people, and the ad maker does part of that for you: the end card carries a small AI-generated line and the file carries a signed C2PA mark. Tick the platform's own AI disclosure when you upload as well; you confirm you will before the first frame is made.
