Success is the share of submitted renders that completed. Credits are for a 5-second 720p clip; USD is at the Premium plan rate of $0.19 per credit. Longer clips and higher resolutions cost more, see pricing.
What this measures
Speed is the median time from the moment a render is submitted to the moment the clip is ready, across every production render in a rolling 60-day window. It includes provider queue time, because that is what you actually wait. Engines with fewer than 50 renders are marked preliminary.
Cost is the published credit price for a 5-second clip at 720p, the tier every engine offers or comes closest to.
Quality is a blind benchmark: identical prompts and start images on every engine, scored on a fixed rubric, published with the clips. It is in its first run.
What it does not measure
We sell access to every engine on this page. The numbers here are measurements, not editorial picks, and they are not adjusted for margin. Speed reflects our infrastructure and the provider’s queue on the days measured, not the provider’s raw API. Public arena rankings from Artificial Analysis and Arena.ai measure global preference on different prompts and are a useful second opinion.
No score on this page is a review or rating of a product for structured-data purposes. The dataset is published as a dataset.
Questions
- Which AI video model is the fastest?
- Across the last 60 days of production renders, Wan 3.0 Prime had the lowest median time from submit to finished clip at 96 seconds (1,341 renders).
- Which AI video model is the cheapest?
- MiniMax H3 is the lowest-priced engine at 4 credits for a 5-second 720p clip, about $0.76 on the Premium plan.
- Which AI video model has the best quality?
- In the v0.1 benchmark (2026-09-02), Seedance 2.5 Turbo scored highest at 81 on the WowMade Video Quality Index. Scores sit close on this first run — a single image-to-video task does not strongly separate strong engines.
- How is the Quality Index measured?
- Every engine animates the same start frame with the same motion prompt. Three frames per clip are scored blind on fidelity, motion and coherence, averaged and normalised to 0-100. Run v0.1 used 1 prompt; each run adds more, and sharper video ranking needs human preference over time.
- Where do the speed numbers come from?
- From WowMade production: every render submitted in the last 60 days, measured from submit to finished clip. Engines with fewer than 50 completed renders are marked preliminary.
