What the result means

AI generated: the file was created by an AI system and the record is intact. AI modified: an existing file was changed with AI. No mark found: the file has no readable record. That can mean it was not made with AI, or that the record was stripped when the file was re-saved, screenshotted or re-encoded by another tool.

The record follows the open C2PA standard, so any C2PA reader can confirm it too. Records are signed by a private certificate, so other readers show the signer as unknown while confirming the content is marked as AI generated.
