Style transfer that survives motion
Restyling a single frame is easy; restyling a clip is not. Paint each frame on its own and the brush strokes crawl, the outlines flicker and the character changes shape between cuts. The edit models here work on the whole clip at once — the source supplies the motion, the prompt supplies the look — so a watercolour stays the same watercolour from the first frame to the last.

Writing a style prompt that keeps the motion
Name the medium, then its texture. “Oil painting” is a direction; “oil painting with thick visible brush strokes” is a look the model can hold.
Say what must not change. End with “keep the motion, timing and framing”. Strong styles pull on composition, and one clause keeps them in their lane.
Style the scene, not the people. A style changes how a scene is drawn, not who is in it. Keep prompts about medium, light and texture; prompts naming public figures are declined by the screening that runs before every edit.
Build a look once. For a series, keep the prompt and one reference image fixed and change only the clip — every episode comes out in the same style. For generating new clips already in that style, see the reference to video page.
Sources, rights and labelling
Restyling works on videos generated on WowMade; uploaded camera footage is not accepted, and prompts and reference images are screened before anything is charged. Every restyled clip carries a signed C2PA provenance mark identifying it as AI-generated, in line with Article 50 of the EU AI Act; anyone can read it on the verification page, and the Content & Safety Policy sets out what may not be created. Frequently asked questions
How do I change the style of a video with AI?
Open the Edit Video tab, pick a clip you made on WowMade, and describe the new style — or tap one of the style recipes on this page to have the prompt written for you. The edit model re-renders every frame in that style while keeping the clip's motion, camera move and composition.
Is this the same as a filter?
No. A filter recolours pixels that are already there. A style edit redraws the clip: brush strokes in a watercolour, flat cel shading in an anime style, grain and halation in a 16mm look. The result holds up in motion because the model renders the style on every frame rather than overlaying it.
Will the movement stay the same?
That is the point of a video-to-video edit: the source clip supplies the motion and framing, and the prompt only changes the look. Heavy styles can simplify fine detail — a watercolour loses small text, for example — but the moves, timing and composition carry over.
Can I match a specific look from a picture?
Yes. Add up to 6 reference images beside the clip — a painting, a frame from a style board, a colour palette — and mention them in the prompt. The model uses them as the look to match.
Which engine gives the best style transfer?
Seedance 2.5 Edit renders the most consistent style from frame to frame and goes up to 4K. MiniMax H3 Edit is the cheapest way to test a style — 8 credits for a 5-second clip at 480p — before committing to a final on Seedance at 35 credits at 720p.
Can I restyle a video I filmed?
Not here. The edit tool accepts videos generated on WowMade, so the source has already passed the platform's checks. Generate the scene in the video studio first, then restyle it as many times as you like.
Is a restyled video marked as AI-generated?
Yes. Every edited clip carries a signed C2PA provenance mark identifying it as AI-generated, which anyone can read on the verification page. Restyling changes the look of a scene; it never changes who appears in it.
